Todays Word - Our High Priest Say to Aaron and his sons... Thus shall you bless the people of Israel: May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord shine His face upon you, and be gracious unto you. May the Lord lift up His face to you and may He grant you peace. (Numbers 6:22 - 26) The levitical priests served as a conduit to bring down Gods radiant blessing and influence into this world. It is on this account that they were commanded to deliver Gods blessing of peace and love to the people, as well. The DAILY BLESSING of the priests in the Temple served to open the Heavenly gates of mercy. Through it, the people merited not only material well-being - prosperity in wealth and health, but spiritual blessings as well; mercy, favour, Divine protection and the greatest of all... true peace. The priests represented kindness, and the focusing of lifes energies on holiness and Divine purpose. It was the attribute of kindness, understanding and love for all which Aaron, the first High Priest, was best known for. Aaron represents Christ who is the true High Priest and Israel represents us. Christ lives forever and is seated on the right of The Father in heaven interceding for us. Even as you read this, The Lord is praying for you in heaven. He has blessed you today according to Numbers 6:22-26. Sometimes your life may be in turmoil and these blessings may seem non-existent to you. I can assure you that if they were absent, your life will be much worse. Thank God, its not !!! Have a great week and May the Lord Jesus bless you and protect you.
