Todays all-church picnic was well attended -- probably the best turnout weve had in quite some time. Thanks to those who contributed the many salads and desserts to go with the fried chicken main course. And, of course, to those those helped put it together. The painted chair auction and the music by FUMC kids livened up our afternoon (the video doesnt do it justice.) Ron thought his $50 first chair bid was a slam dunk -- but, no, he really had to get in there and bargain hard for that winning bid. Thank you Ron and the other winning bidders -- the kids and the new youth room upgrades will benefit from your generosity! Look for our next big event -- the preschool and FUMC joint celebration of cultures at WorldFest Sept. 25.
