Todays ayah from surah raad in salatul Tarawih to ponder over. Those who believed (in the Oneness of Allaah), and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allaah: verily, in the remembrance of Allaah do hearts find rest . ( سورةالرعد , Ar-Rad, Chapter #13, Verse #28) The blessings of remembering Allaah are infinate, while Allaah state remember me and I will remember you (02.152) , we cannot praise and glorify him enough, ultimately as a result Allaah will honour us with his everlasting bounties. The Day whereon neither wealth nor sons will avail, But only he (will prosper) that brings to Allaah a sound heart (qalbun saleem); To the righteous, the Garden will be brought near, ( سورةالشعراء , Ash-Shuara, Chapter #26, Verse #88-90) And We shall remove from their breasts any (mutual) hatred or sense of injury (which they had, if at all, in the life of this world); rivers flowing under them, and they will say: All the praises and thanks be to Allaah, Who has guided us to this, and never could we have found guidance, were it not that Allah had guided us! Indeed, the Messengers of our Lord did come with the truth. And it will be cried out to them: This is the Paradise which you have inherited for what you used to do. ( سورةالأعراف , Al-Araf, Chapter #7, Verse #43) O (you) the one in (complete) rest and satisfaction! Come back to your Lord well-pleased (yourself) and well-pleasing (unto Him)! Enter you then among My (honoured) slaves, And enter you My Paradise! ( سورةالفجر , Al-Fajr, Chapter #89, Verse #27-30) ’Aa’ishah (RA) says that Rasoolullaah Sollallaahu ’Alayhi wa sallam said: recitation of the Quran in salaat is more rewarding than the recitation outside salaat, the recitation outside salaat is preferable to tasbeeh and takbeer (repeating words of praise for Allaah): tasbeeh is supperior to sadaqah (alms): sadaqah is superior to sowm (fasting) and sowm is a protection against the fire. (Baihaqi) Abu as-Darda (RA) said: Allaah’s Messenger (Sollalaahu ’Alayhi wa sallam) said, Shall I not inform you of the best of your actions, the purest in the sight of your Lord, which raises your rank to the highest, which is better for you than spending gold and silver, better than meeting your enemy so that you strike at their necks and they strike at yours? They replied: Yes, indeed, and he said: It is the remembrance of Allaah. (Tirmidhi) Abdullah ibn Busr (RA) mentioned that a man said: O Messenger of Allaah! the ordinances of iman have become too many for me, so tell me something to which I can cling. He (Sollallaahu Alayhi wa sallam) replied, Let your tongue not cease to be moist with the remembrance of Allaah, exalted is He. (At-Tirmidhi)
