Todays bible study at Forward Church Nairobi. We began a study on the book of Galatians. Today we are looking at Gal.1:6-10... The One True Gospel. I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel. v.6 Paul says I marvel, am amazed, astonished, shocked to see how soon you are removed! And he tells us exactly what, rather whom they are removed from, from Him (God) that called you into the grace of Christ. Why was Paul surprised? Not because they were deserting some doctrine of theology, but because they were deserting GOD HIMSELF! This deserting of God happens when you turn away from The One true gospel. And what exactly is that gospel? Notice in this verse, Paul uses the words grace and gospel interchangeably. The grace of God is the gospel. Without grace there is no good news for a sinful world. Beware of some of my facebook friends who preach another gospel that appears to be similar to grace except that theirs is a bit more refined, more appealing, cuter and nicer, smoother and enticing. Theirs says the grace of God saved the whole world before mankind was created... there is no hell... it doesnt matter what you believe, you already died with Christ and re a new creation and are seated with Christ even if you dont believe in Him, if you are not reconciled to God while you are alive in this world it will happen after you die. This is the work of the deceiver spreading his deception. There is no other grace gospel. Let no one deceive you that they have been sent to grow you into something deeper than the grace message. The only deeper thing outside of the grace of Christ is the deep things of Satan. There is no new revelation outside of the grace of Christ except what is false. There is only One gospel, the gospel of grace which we preach! There are no options to this grace, no menu selections, no alternatives, no gospel shopping.
