Todays cancer update...cancer still sucks..This morning David had his port put in for chemo to be administered through and all labs can now be done through this...no more needle sticks..a definite plus. Then this afternoon was an appointment with the GI doctor concerning his feeding tube. David will be admitted Wednesday and the feeding tube will be put in that afternoon. He will spend the night and come home sometime on Thanksgiving, as long as all goes as expected. Radiation starts the 3rd..still dont know when chemo starts, but will find out soon. It is possible the source of the cancer is the base of his tongue, but it is not definitive. The lymph nodes in his neck are getting larger every day, so we know this is an aggressive quick growing cancer. He continues to lose weight, in spite of eating two cheesecakes within the past week.
