Todays challenge was Bear Mountain Summit near Sedona, AZ, 6500 feet, 6.14 miles round-trip with Melody A. Deisher and Dena Doublex. Pics are of a view from Bear Mountain trail, an example of desert wildlife (no bears, just one hairy tarantula), Team Leader Melody, Dena (on left) speaking with German family that had also missed out on their Grand Canyon hike because of government shutdown, and one of yours truly at the summit. We miss our fourth member, Bobbie Terlaje Metrokin, who had to return to her home in Florence, AZ yesterday.
