Todays cup of wisdom: The word of God Good morning brothers and sisters, May Almighty God bless you ABUNDANTLY IN JESUS NAME! The word of God is a precious gift with great power. If we want to grow and change and if we need strength, direction, comfort, or if we have any needs at all this is where we need to seek it. We need to ask ourselves, as Christians if we see a difference in our lives, if we see change, if we feel strong, if we see fruit in our lives at all, and if we do not there is a problem, and most likely that problem is ourselves. I did not always understand just how powerful the word of God was, I thought that going to church once a week was good enough. But I learned very quickly that it was not good enough. Our heavenly Father speaks to us through his word, within the pages of the bible are our directions for life. Once I started reading on my own and not just reading but doing as it says, I saw miraculous change in every area of my life. When satan rears his ugly head I am confident, without fear, he no longer can fill my mind with his lies, because I am so full of the truth. Your enemy smiles with joy when you think once a week church is good enough, and I will tell you straight out with abundance of love in my heart it is a lie! Dont just take my word for it, seek the truth every day and you will see for yourself. We cannot change on our own, we need Gods word. Once you start seeing the truth come alive as you seek the Lord and spend time in fellowship with him in His word, you will develop the desire to have more and more. You will develop a hunger and thirst, you will not be able to start the day, go through the day or end the day without it. The more you seek the more you will find! The more you find the more you will grow, the more you do as it says the more you will see and your faith will grow right along with you.. then satan loses all power over you. All you need is a desire... all you need to do is seek. The Holy Spirit is your helper and will lead you into all truth! The word is your sword and if you do not know it you cannot battle your enemy! Satan works full time, it is time to get out of our part time Christian mode and work full time IN JESUS NAME! Amen! John 1:1English Standard Version (ESV) The Word Became Flesh 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 1 Peter 2:2English Standard Version (ESV) 2 Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— Psalm 119:18English Standard Version (ESV) 18 Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law Psalm 119:10-11English Standard Version (ESV) 10 With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments! 11 I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you 2 Timothy 2:15King James Version (KJV) 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto Woman of God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:7King James Version (KJV) 7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things. John 15:7English Standard Version (ESV) 7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. Isaiah 55:10-11English Standard Version (ESV) 10 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, 11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. Psalm 19:7-11King James Version (KJV) 7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. 8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. 9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward. 2 Timothy 3:16-17King James Version (KJV) 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. James 1:22-25King James Version (KJV) 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. Matthew 7:7King James Version (KJV) 7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: Proverbs 4:20English Standard Version (ESV) 20 My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. John 8:32English Standard Version (ESV) 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” AAAAAMEN! Holy Father in heaven we thank you and praise you for the gift of your word.
