Todays daily bread: John 21:21-22 Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, “But Lord, what about this man?” Jesus said to him, “If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.” Living this life for Christ is the greatest thing we could possibly do. Whenever we make that commitment to step out and live for Christ, He begins to deal with each of us concerning what He has called us to do. Not all of us are called to be pastors or teachers, but we are all called. Where we sometimes go wrong is when we begin to look at what the Lord is or is not doing in someone elses life. We begin to compare our walk with others. One of the greatest lessons we can learn is that although we are all in this race together, we are not all in the same position. The Lord deals with each of us according to our calling. He may ask one to lay down this or that and not ask his brother to do the same. We are not to compare our lives to each other. When Peter asked Jesus about John, he wanted to know what was going to happen him. Jesus reply was simple, dont worry about him, do what I told you to do. This is a lesson we can all learn from. Seek the Lord and be quick to listen and obey. Whatever He is asking you to do, do that. Even if no one else seems to be doing it, you do it because Jesus asked you to.
