Todays expedition into the minds of political lunatics deals with the Bullet Train that will run from LA to San Francisco. Originally it was said it would take 2 1/2 hrs. to make the trip..now its more like 4 1/2. At a cost to taxpayers of over 68 BILLION DOLLARS! Obama approved it a couple years ago. Heres the rub...even if you live in Kissasnatch, Tennessee or Scrotumlick, Arkansas, your federal dollars will be paying for this absurdity. Something that an infinitesimal percentage of us will EVER see or use. More (as if we needed it) evidence that this administration thinks we have access to a bottomless pit filled with money. They wont cut the corporations that are holding 2 TRILLION dollars overseas a break in order to bring that money back home...but they spend like oil riggers on payday. Amid the never ending whining about there not being enough dough to feed and house the homeless and help the terminally unemployed, they somehow find the funding for this type of project. And on it goes, the masses shrugging their shoulders and assuming that the government MUST know what theyre doing. Well, California, if you were dumb enough to elect Jerry Brown AGAIN to run your state, you probably deserve it. Me, I just want a federal grant for enough money to build a robot that will make sure my wine glass doesnt ever go dry. A much better expenditure of taxpayer money. The fact that it will in no way benefit the rest of the country should not be a deal-breaker for this White House!
