Welsh international Aaron Ramsey, who has been plagued by injury this season, is replaced in midfield by Mathieu Flamini. Ramsey has not even been named on the bench, but Abou Diaby, who has been out of action for over 13 months with a torn anterior cruciate ligament, is among the substitutes.
