Todays highlight from conversations with Dr. Herschel Rubin... Dad (to rehab nurse): My goal is to live my life as I was living it. Im not trying to be Superman. Me: I thought you already were. Were happy to report that Dad was moved to the rehab unit at Mercy Hospital late this afternoon. They expect to keep him from 7 to 10 days to get him back on his feet (literally as well as figuratively) and ready to go back home. Everyone at the hospital has been wonderful to Dad and to us. Were confident that hes in good hands. Oh, a priest stopped by yesterday to visit. Dad said hed take all the help he could get. Thanks again to all yall for your good thoughts and prayers. We are counting our blessings.
