Todays kind of a big deal for us - by the time our family and friends at home wake up well have been on the road for two years. Its hard to put into words what its like to be in motion for that long. Its been a wonderful, exciting and eye-opening adventure. Its also been hard, exhausting and, occasionally, even a lonely experience as well. Over the past two years weve met truly remarkable folks and a seemingly endless glass of kindness. Weve reunited with long-lost family and made new friendships which we hope will endure. Weve seen changing landscapes and cultures, and witnessed common threads which betray all of our differences. Weve also crashed, been hit by cars, chased by packs of dogs, detained as spies and even waited out a hurricane in the bottom of a ferry. And somewhere in there, Nita managed to fit in a heart surgery for good measure. Theyve been, without a doubt, the best two years of our lives. So we just wanted to take a moment, celebrate quietly, and say thank you to every single person whos made such a difference in our lives along the way. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
