Todays lesson on the homestead, part I lost count in the never ending saga of can we get heat and AC upstairs too??? Know when to say when, ESPECIALLY on DIY projects! Installing a ductless zone heating and cooling system seemed like a very smart idea at first. The hurdle of not being able to find a qualified contractor to install it at the time seemed minor. After all, theres 2 mechanics living here! And today, we found out from the guy who was supposed to fill it with fluid (after the leaks had been fixed ) that not only there are still leaks, but by now, they have irreparably clogged the lines. Translation? Rip out and start over! Yep. Know when to say when! Especially when renovating.... Bad day.
