Todays message is on Suicide Its been a long time since I gave a message, lets hope I havent gotten rusty, well here it goes. You know I like to have fun in this group and I like to tell jokes, well put your gins away, for you wont here a joke tonight. This is going to be a very serious message. Two Sundays ago in G.I.G (Getting Into God), we discussed suicide because of what happened to late great actor Robbin Williams. Now why do people commit suicide? Well they see it as the only way out. There are six steps that will drive a person to commit suicide. 1) Depression, we all get depressed once in awhile, even I get depressed. But we have to overcome it or we will rot away. Let me tell you guys something you all know, the world isnt sunshine and rainbows its a mean and nasty place, and if you let it, it will beat you down to your knees. Nothing hits harder than life. But its not about how hard you hit, its how you can get hit and keep moving forward, thats how winning is done. 2) the person is psychic, if there is something wrong with the persons brain and if the person is too far gone from reality, then they will commit suicide, just so the voices will stop. 3) they are hurting. The person may look fine, and say they are happy. But its just a mask they put on to hide their feelings. 4) they are obsessed with dying. The person may be hurting so badly that they just want to die. 5) the person wants help. You can be that helping hand, you can be an angel. Would you help someone that was about to commit suicide? 6) They never wanted to do it. Even if they written a suicide note. The person never wanted to do. Judas committed suicide because he felt guilty for betraying Jesus and he wanted to die so badly. If someone you know is thinking about suicide, talk them out of it. Im sorry if any gets upset by this post. But this message has been on my mind for awhile and had to share it.
