Negotiations Back on Track Negotiations between Senate Democrats and House Republicans seemingly broke down on Thursday but appeared to be on much better ground as of the weekend, with staffers from both sides resuming discussions. Sanders and his house counterpart, House VA Chair Jeff Miller, agreed to fly back to Washington, D.C., if it would push the negotiations forward, Vox reported. The court ordered the city to allow residents to carry handguns outside their homes and to let nonresidents carry them as well. In 2008, the Supreme Court struck down the District of Columbia’s all-out ban on handguns on the basis that it violated the right to bear arms guaranteed by the Constitution’s Second Amendment, Reuters reported.
