Todays offering is a drabble poem Winter’s Blossoms Winter’s blossoms hold no scent, save for the subtle fragrance of the north-easterly breeze that nibbles at any exposed flesh. It appears in the early hours and can be gone by midday. It hangs like Christmas lights from the eaves of the house and blankets the lawns like windblown wedding confetti. Its blossoms cover my car each morning with wonderful majestic patterns, But the place I love to see Winter’s blossoms the most is when they coat the gorse bushes, capturing every spiders web as if lightly coating them in icing sugar. Winter’s blossoms will capture my heart until Spring.
