Todays overview: 03-03-2014 The helicorder displays are all over the place, in the last 48 hours. The most activity appears to be in the northern area of the state, with a line running towards Florence. If I had to predict an area of concern, it would appear to be along the North Carolina/South Carolina state line, starting near Spartanburg running as for east as Florence. The Hodges station appears to pick up the same activity as Bird, which is located just northwest of Florence. Im not trying to alarm anyone, because Earthquake predicting is no way predictable, Im only stating that the helicorder displays show activity in that area of the state. If you compare todays displays to 02-14-2014, the activity is consistent to the day before the 4.2 earthquake. if the activity of the last few hours continues, and if it last 10 more hours, then conditions are favorable for a tremor, or earthquake. If the activity stays the same throughout the night, a class 8 warning maybe issued. If a class 8 is issued, it will only be under a cautionary measure, I prefer to act on the side of caution, that to just ignore the helicorder activity all together. Hopefully everything will return to normal over the next few hours.
