Todays pick for Pit Bull Awareness month is Capone. He was found in the trunk of a car which landed him in a kill shelter. Because of his breed and tumors no one wanted to adopt or rescue. I would not let him die in a shelter so I pulled him and sent him straight to a vet to find out it was cancer. 6 months in rescue and 1500 dollars later I am proud to say he is cancer free and found a amazing family that didnt care that it could come back and could be expensive to treat. This was my biggest rescue success. Many many people donated to Capone and I thank them from the bottom of my heart. He was definately worth every penny. His new family says he was exactly what they wanted and needed. They drove all the way from Georgia for him. They are my in laws too so I know I will see my baby again. Putting him up for adoption was so hard but I knew he needed a calmer place. Hugs and kisses Capone you are forever in our hearts.
