Todays prayer: Hebrews 6:9-20 Lord Jesus, I pray that ______________________ and I will show diligence, earnestness and eagerness in our faith so that we may live in the full assurance of hope to the very end of our lives. I pray that we will not become spiritually lazy or sluggish, but instead become imitators of those who, like Abraham, inherit what you have promised through faith and patience. Lord, Abraham waited 25 long years for you to fulfill your promise to him. But he continued to trust you in patient faith day by day, one day at a time, until your plan for his life was realized. I pray that we will imitate his example and never give up believing that you have plans for our life and that you, in your perfect timing, will fulfill them all. I pray that the things that accompany salvation, the things that belong to salvation, will be fully manifest in our lives. May our faith in you produce works as the fruit of faith, and may we show love for your sake and for your name by a lifestyle of serving our brothers and sisters in the family of God. Father, I pray that we will be greatly encouraged in remembering that you have confirmed your promise to us by two unchangeable things – your word and your oath – in which it is impossible for you to lie. I pray that the unchangeable character of your purpose to grant us eternal life in Jesus may give us strong encouragement to hold fast to our hope in him. Lord Christ, I pray that we will flee to you to take hold of the hope we have in you. You teach us here that the hope you offer enters into the inner sanctuary of the unseen tabernacle in the heavens, into the very presence of God himself, where you have gone before us as our high priest and entered on our behalf. I pray that this hope will serve as a sure and steadfast anchor for our souls, and cause us to be firm and secure in our relationship with you and in our hope for the future. This I pray in your name as our high priest forever, amen.
