Todays rant..... So tonight the Fire Brigade are on strike, so advising not to have your own bonfire. Royal Mail are also starting their Strike season just as everybody is posting gifts to loved ones for Christmas. I understand about working conditions and pensions etc, but does the goverment actually give a fig about these strikes? I dont thing they do. So who is it going to affect? well the normal working person, you and me...thats who. The Postal system is getting worse, 1st class now a 15 working day service, international sign for taking 24 days to arrive (actually quicker using standard overseas parcels, and second class for uk). Last 3 sign for items posted have gone missing and the customer service reply is put a claim in which I did and they lost the sign for claim form...... The overseas one I paid over £14 to get there, lost...and then directed to the small print on the claim form, that the £500 compensation I paid for is only if its delivered by Royal Mail, not when they hand it over to a foreign courier service, as they are then not responsible...... Errrrr sorry Mr Mail Man...how is this even legal? The contract surly is between me and you, so what ever you do it is still with you? Nope, oh...so post at own risk then?????
