Todays review will be American Hustle. I thought it was a wonderful movie to see. It is a a fictional story about an ABSCAM case in the 70s. A con man must con politicians in order to be from the FBI Basically David O Russell brought in actors from his two previous movies. I thought Christian bale was marvelous as Irving Rosenfeld. He definitely made the character the way based it on Melvin Weinbeg, by gaining weight and have a combover weave to it and have a very sweet heart towards women. Amy Adams did a fine in the film. Bradley cooper was good as Richie Dimaso having a childlike feel to him. Jennifer Lawrence was fantastic as always as Irvings wife Rosalyn. David does a good job casting Jennifer in these messed up characters and she captures the performance beautifully and just absolutely insane. I had my doubts about Jeremy renner but I must say I really liked his character and I felt bad for him I really liked the scene where Richie and Irving meet Victor Teligo at Carmines party. (Robert DeNiro cameos as Victor Teligo) I didnt like how the ending went in a way. The film had a very 70s feel with the clothes the hair the music and tone to it and I thought that it worked with it. Overall. I thought that the film was very good. I think that David Russell has done with this film and I would recommend this film :)
