Todays technological update: Passing Dounreay Fast Reactor, built in 1961 and the first fast breeder reactor in the world to supply electricity to a national grid, now being decommissioned. The sphere was originally designed and built to mitigate the effects of a blast or fire within the reactor; it is now contaminated with low levels of radiation! One has to question whether my warm glow is coming from the reactor or the sun ;-)
