Todays tragic events appear to be a direct result of the Staten Island Grand Jury decision. The Grand Jurors made their determination based on ALL the facts and evidence, not emotions fueled by politicians pandering or the limited facts provided by the media. A grand jury made up of citizens, citizens who I might add, could have very well voted for Mayor de Blasio. The Mayor, other elected officials and professional agitators called the Grand Jurors a failure because they didnt agree with their decision. Grand Jurors sacrificed their time and daily lives and the Mayor and others degraded them and further inflamed tensions with talking points that paints all police officers with a broad brush. That speech has divided our city and citizens and has now led to violence. That is unacceptable !
