Todays trip was to find the Liberty Bell over between White Pine and Tomichi. As I was going thru the little town there was a couple setting out on their deck drinking coffee so I stopped to ask how far up the road it was. They said only about 1/2 mile, at the good size meadow and its to your left. They said they hadnt been up there yet, so didnt know how much color there was, needless to say not much. The bell is on the left and an eagle head on the right (use your imagination)... Then as I got back to Alpine Tunnel Road, they were grading it and left a heck of a mess in the middle of the road. I was able to get it pushed off the side and go on. Wow they are making a mess.
