Todays update is an assortment of odds and ends as thats sorta my life today: The biggest thing is that Im enormously relieved to have finally connected with my Love via Skype after a few attempts/misses. Im feeling more rested and a bit less overwhelmed thanks to Sarahs fabulousness--everyone should have a twin sister when recovering from a throw-down with life. Emy is having fun but is also overwhelmed. He keeps saying, I dont know why Im sad. At first I thought I didnt hear him correctly, but hes said it about 10 times now, so he really is putting quite articulate words to his experience. Its sad, but hearing him say it also helps me to know how hes doing and how to help him adjust and integrate his experience, so Im just grateful that hes extremely verbal for a 2.5 year old. Other than resting and watching the cousins play together, Im just hanging out in Sarahs jammies under blankets and eating fresh berries (!!!), drinking Starbucks (!!!), and getting pet therapy from Buster. Not a bad way to start this new chapter of life. :)
