Todays update on West Coast port conditions: In Long Beach/Los - TopicsExpress

Todays update on West Coast port conditions: In Long Beach/Los Angeles, there were 12 container ships anchored on Sunday outside the congested ports, matching a two-year high. In Seattle/Tacoma, vessels continue to arrive and are anchored in the harbor waiting for docking space. Also, more terminals have started taking accepting empty containers again, which is causing long lines at the ports as truckers rush to return empties. We are getting reports that there was a unilateral decision from the ILWU at Terminal 6 in Portland to walk off, and the terminal has closed for the day. A reminder that U.S terminals will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Most will reopen on Friday for normal operations. No updates on the ILWU and PMA negotiations as ‘big table’ discussions are on hold until December 2nd. shipglobal/update-west-coast-port-conditions-nov24/
