Todays workout will be anything but legs!!! I cannot move. Severe DOMS three days later and this is why- I started a new program this week, always fun for the mind and a killer for keeping the body guessing towards achieving the goal. Legs twice a week each with very different focus. Thursday was second leg session with lots of superset drop sets and heres a glimpse of the first exercise. It is cable elevated heel squats. It has a huge focus on quads and the cable resistance behind me meant the constant tension to pull me back ensured my VMO and Adductors were firing. This was paired with drop sets on the leg extension with a resistance band. This adds more tension again in the quads. I had 4 rounds of this before moving to the next pairing for hammies. The lactic build up is totally insane. Is it crazy that I am somewhat excited with this pain or hugely sadistic? I know both Mark Ottobre and I are laughing at me! Gee thanks coach. Nar...
