Today’s Message is called: “The Sins of the Father Some people have suggested that as it’s stated in the Bible, “The sins of the father will be visited upon his children and children’s children”, which many people now are claiming to be a curse. They also forget to mention that there are many other passages in the same Bible that totally discredit such statement. When people try to lay the blame for whatever problems that exist today with the younger generation on their father’s sin, it can cause lots of confusion in the long run for the young people who believe that they are afflicted with a curse, based on the transgression of their father. I always wonder why “The sins of the mother will not be also visited upon her children and children’s children.” There are certain passages in the bible where those statements could be found: (Exodus 20:5) - You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate me,” God was speaking to Moses about worshiping other false God. (Exodus 34:6-7) - Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed, The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in loving kindness and truth; who keeps loving kindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations. Again God was speaking to Moses about worshiping other false gods, letting him know what was going to happen to the Hebrews for not worshiping him only. (Deuteronomy 5:9) - You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, and on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate me, God was speaking to Moses about worshiping other false God. (The same verses copied from Exodus 20:5 and repeated all over again) (Deuteronomy 24:16) - Fathers shall not be put to death for their sons, nor shall sons be put to death for their fathers; everyone shall be put to death for his own sin. God was speaking to Moses about worshiping other false God. Does this mean that the concept of the “Original Sin” needs to be revisited? How come Jesus Christ was supposed to have died for our sins, when God himself said that Adam and everyone else were supposed to die for their own sin? (Ezekiel. 18:4) ... The soul that sinneth, it shall die. (Ezekiel 18:20) - The person who sins will die”. The son will not bear the punishment for the father’s iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son’s iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself. (Ezekiel 33:20) O ye house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways. (Jeremiah. 31:29-30) In those days they shall say no more, the fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the childrens teeth are set on edge. But everyone shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge. (Roman. 2:6) Who will render to every man according to his deeds. Most of those remarks were alleged to be spoken by a jealous God to Moses and to other people who refused to worship him. Each of these verses shows that every person should only be punished for those sins which he or she commits, not those of their parents or their great grandparent. The “Original Sin” dogma makes about as much sense as if one day I were sitting in my living room and the following incident occurred. The police came knocking on the front door of my home and stated I was now under arrest, and was charge for murder because my great, great-grandfather that used to live in Afrika had committed a heinous crime. I responded by asking what that had to do with me and they said, Hes was your great, great-grandfather wasnt he? So the sins of your great, great-grandfather will be visited upon you, his great, great grandchild. So how some uneducated people could use such a claim to justify that Ham committed any sin to be able to use the phrase, “the sins of the father”. Genesis 6:9 states that Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.” How come Noah could be perfect if all have sinned? There is no doubt that since there was never any curse placed on Ham, as a lot of people claim to promote or believes, then there can be no story even suggesting or insinuating that it ever happened. Neither did Noah ever have a curse placed on Ham’s son for the rest of all his brothers and uncle’s generations. There is no part of the bible as far as I know had stipulated such a curse ever took place. Most people that choose to promote their brand of racial bigotry never seem to take their time to tell the entire story. In most cases, a small paragraph or a certain passage from an entire story or lecture is only highlighted and their message will be based on that particular section. Any passage can be taken out of context to mean just what anyone wants it to mean. So the next time someone begin to quote or recite to you any particular passage from the Torah, the Bible or their version of the Bible, or the Koran or from any other reliable source of religious literature, politely say to him or her, I would like to continue listening to your story and would appreciate having as much information as humanly possible so, “please, can you tell me the whole story.” Thanks for reading this message and may your InnerG, InnerGod Bless and and keep you safe during today.
