Today’s P & W thought: When You Believe ... Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen [NKJV] Picture this scenario: A friend who lives a broad has asked you to choose a present for your anniversary – birthday, wedding or for something that deserves a present. Now the prospect of getting a present excites you so much that it takes you long to decide what you wish to receive… but finally you make up your mind and write it down on a mail. But as you are just about to click the “send” button, you start thinking, Did I really ask for what I wanted most? Should I think some more about what to ask for? Maybe I want a ring instead of a bangle. Did my friend really mean it when she told me to ask for a present? This is now unbelief ... you are doubting whether it was a prank or your friend really meant it. In the end you say to yourself, let me give it some more thought, as you are still unsure. So you leave your mail in draft/unsent box to continue worrying about it some more Guess what? You wouldn’t get a gift from your friend until you finally make up your mind to let the mail go. Then soon after that a package from your friend with your gift inside will arrive. Dear brethren, having faith in God is something like that. If we believe and trust God completely, we tell Him what we need then we let it go. We go on about our business and see what He will do for us. That is what it means to be certain about what we do not see. Dear Lord, we are going to ask for something that we really need and not want. Then we are going to let go and let you God be who you say you are in our times of need... Have a wonderful Wednesday my friends …
