Today’s Park Place is Twin Tanks! Located west of the Twin Tanks Backcountry Board, this quartz outcropping serves as a landmark that leads to two historic tanks. Cattlemen built these dams to hold water in this arid environment. Today, sediment has nearly filled the tanks. Anytime you visit the park’s back country, always bring a map, plenty of water, and notify someone outside the park of when you expect to be back.
