Today’s Sullivan County Spotlight business is Eminence Road Farm Winery in Long Eddy (eminenceroad): Eminence Road Farm Winery makes small lots of dry table wine in a barn on the western edge of the Catskills using vinifera grapes from sustainably managed Finger Lakes vineyards. All wine is fermented by naturally occurring yeasts and bottled by hand, unfined and unfiltered with the only addition being a minimal amount of sulfite for stability. They are a small, mom and pop operation with an emphasis on quality wine production. Their tasting room experience is rustic (no restrooms, no gift shop, etc.) and the location is remote but they are always happy to give you a tour and pour a few tastes. Eminence Road wine can also be found at local farmers markets as well as fine restaurants and wine shops in the Catskills, Hudson Valley, Manhattan and Brooklyn.
