Today’s “Thought Of The Day” comes from Louis Perez, our Director of Personal Development. He told us that “excuses are the nails that build the house of failure.” He spoke about experiences in his own life where he would tell people that he would try to do something, so that he could have that excuse if he didn’t end up following through on the promise. However, he realized it isn’t about trying, it’s about striving. Louis found that by striving to do something, he ended up accomplishing his goals and being successful. He no longer had an excuse not to make an effort. He encouraged us to apply this to our own lives, to take words like “try” out of our vocabulary, and to strive to become better people.
