Today’s Thought Of The Day is from Father Greg. He spoke about it being graduation season. Graduation is a necessary thing and a good thing. Often trainees say “I have 6 more months” or “3 more months.” If the seniors don’t graduate the new ones can’t come in. What does the graduate at graduation look like here at Homeboy? We talk a lot about healing. We talk a lot about repair. We talk about restoring. We talk about re-identifying who you are in the world. Maybe before you came here you thought courage was throwing down and packing a gun. Maybe now you love your kids more than you hate your enemies. But above all this place isn’t about receiving services but the tenderness with which you receive it.
