Today’s WIHI, on the Guiding Coalition – and its goal of 100 Million Healthier Lives by 2020 – generated lots of interesting comments chatted in by attendees. Some examples: “I am interested in this program because here in Nevada we have such an issue around behavioral health patients. Many of our emergency rooms are housing 10-20 behavioral health patients often for more than 7 days at a time. I am one lone clinical nurse specialist and I am wondering where I could start to help solve this problem?” “Is there a particular sub-set of the 100 million lives campaign that is focused very pointedly and specifically on the needs of the elderly, particularly the frail elderly whose ranks are growing significantly?” “Im working with some rural communities (including a region in Alaska) with some of the low-cost innovations that can be quickly implemented to improve healthy eating and active living.
