Today’s devotion comes from Isaiah 59:1-2. It says: “Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear”. What is the reason for all our troubles in the world? In my ministry many people have asked me - If God is so good why do we suffer? Why do we have family problems, financial crisis, sickness etc? Why? Many times we blame God and put God as the reason for all our sufferings BUT if we really think, who is the cause for all our suffering? Is God the reason or our own decisions? When I thought about my troubles and its reasons, I discovered it is my sins that made my life a mess. God is always good. If there is no Bible, if there is no Prayer, if there is no God, many of us may have perished, but we are still alive because of His grace. Prayer: My God, please help me to be content in all my ups and downs. In Jesus’ name. Amen! By Pastor JOHN MELKI
