Today’s incident: I wanted to travel to a nearby place. Four - TopicsExpress

Today’s incident: I wanted to travel to a nearby place. Four auto rickshaws were standing outside the society gate. I approached them. One was talking on mobile phone. The other one was laughing; the third one asked the fourth one whether he’ll go. The fourth one smiled and demanded 50 bucks (for that small distance of 1 km. With a damaged ligament around the knee, I didn’t have enough courage to walk.) Why we all are bearing the things happening around us? People say that politics is full of corruption. But corruption is there in every one around us. And guess what, it’s there in us too. When was the last time you PUCHASED music? Can you remember? Ever since downloading pirated music, free of cost, has become possible, no one has ever bothered to care about buying it. Every song that you have in your phones or computers should have cost you a minimum of Rs 6. This way, at an average, every urban household possesses pirated property worth Rs 10000, for which they should have paid. Politicians are mere human beings like us, sharing with us, the same human nature. They try to take every possible advantage without considering whether it would be fair to others or not, the same way we do with free our music and movies. So, only changing the politicians in India won’t solve the problem of corruption. The real step towards the progress of the nation is to change the mentality of the Indian People. We should change our own mentality first, and then look at others. Corruption is inside us. We need to eradicate it from the grass root levels. Jay Hind
