Tokyo musings: 1. Surprisingly quiet! Shibuya is a loud mess but outside of that, its a shockingly tranquil city. 2. The people are very very nice. Just fantastic. 3. Their subway system is pure, concentrated evil. 4. Almost all bars charge a surprise 500 yen per person for the privilege of sitting at a table. 5. Much more affordable than we were led to believe. We are some great food on the cheap. 6. If they like decent coffee they sure keep it well hidden. 7. People watching at its finest. 8. Buying an international data package would be worth every penny. Not having my phone or Internet in one of the most tech-savvy cities in the world drove me nuts. 9. Really easy to get lost. (see 8)
