In fact, we’re the only hospital in northwest Ohio to receive this honor Prepares grilled and fried items for customers in the Cafeteria. Will cook or heat food items in production as needed. Provides excellent customer service skills to visitors and customers in the Cafeteria. Ensures that all food is prepared properly, in specified quantities and in a timely manner. Ensures that all product served is fresh and hot when presented to the customer. Maintains area and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition to meet all Health Department and JCAHO standards. Knows and observes all safety and sanitation policies and procedures as they relate to your assigned area. Assists fellow employees in their tasks when the need arises or when time permits under the direction of a supervisor. Arrives at your workstation in full uniform at the scheduled time. Job Requirements Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Minimum level of training required. 2 years cooking and/or grilling experience. Must possess excellent customer service skills and be able to interact courteously and effectively with all patients, employees and visitors. Must be able to tolerate exposure to temperature changes, humid/hot conditions. Must be able to move about hospital and between workstations; prolonged periods of standing. Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries; requires effective interpersonal skills.
