Tom Gibbons. You know, volunteers are wonderful people who constantly give of themselves, but frequently we overlook the invisible volunteer. ANN GIBBONS who has been on the Hazelwood School Board of Education since 1981 had one of those silent volunteer partner, her husband TOM. For those who had the pleasure of knowing Tom, he was a true Irishman – stranger to no one. He was supportive of Hazelwood, the board, and of course anything Ann had to say. Tom Gibbons left his temporary life here on earth Sunday, July 14 to return to his heavenly home for eternity. He will join many other Hazelwood family associates in heaven, and let them all know we’re doing fine. He will then request where he could get his first pint of Guinness, because it was a long trip. It was my honor knowing you Tom.
