Tom and I went to Wally World yesterday...it seems to have become a tradition! lol Christmas decor is everywhere! We had fun just walking up and down seeing all the beautiful decor! Tom heard a child that sounding soooooo excited! Just seeing all the lights and beautiful colors....and wanted to share that with her parent....the parent was not amused and basically told her to shut up. I did not hear it..Tom did......to the parent who did this....be glad.....be VERY glad I did not hear it. Tom has more class than me....I would have put my nose into it and said something that would not have been kind........Cmon parents.....dont you remember? That first time seeing all the lights and the characters and the wonderful, magical feeling of Christmas? SHAME ON YOU! Now that I am older, I loved playing with the grands at the tree....whether is was turning on the train or just talking about ornaments....or waiting on Christmas Eve for everyone to get here and watching Jackson and Jareth sitting at the table where all the goodies were and just waiting for the word to dig in and have fun.....you can NOT get those times back!!!!!!!!!! ENJOY these moments.....I dont care how COOL you think you are and how COOL my grandkids are......there is always a time to just be a kid again and enjoy....And I am not going to lie.....I am crying because of this very thing...they are little for SUCH a SHORT time.....see the magic with them! And of course teach them the REAL reason for the season....make a birthday day for Jesus! Make a warped cookie train.....or a gingerbread house that is more abstract than real....WHO CARES??????????? WE make it together..and that is a memory I will always have.....MAKES MEMORIES OLDER PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!
