Tom asked me to post this too. He needs lots of help in lots of areas!!! Digital Dummy in search of a Digital Guru to help me find my way on a vast confusing alien planet… HELP! Two weeks ago I finally decided to visit planet FACEBOOK… after years of denying its very existence. Frankly, it has been a very terrifying and confusing experience thus far. On the one hand everyone seems quite welcoming. I have even connected with a few old friends. But on the other hand I also find it very confusing and I feel like a stranger in a strange land. Frankly, I have been surprised and overwhelmed by the number of natives that want to be-friend me and my golden retriever Bonnie…most of whom I have never met before. I am also baffled by the culture of those that seem so much at home on this huge disorienting planet. First, I have no ideas of the customs, forms of communication and tribal prohibitions and celebrations that a part of this strange culture.. Second, I don’t have clue one of how to how to reach out and communicate with these FACEBOOK Natives. I need help from a Digital Guru. Quite simply I am looking for some to tutor me an hour a week on the protocols of how to creatively communicating with FACEBOOK Natives. I am also chronically at war with my window on the digital realm…my lap top. {I suspect that our technology is actually controlled by the dark side} So I would also welcome a Guru that could help me achieve intervals of peace and compliant collaboration with my troublesome technology.
