Tomoko T. Hall Tommie May 5, 1941 - November 22, 2013 Tomoko T. Hall, 72, of Montgomery, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her daughters home at 1:25 pm on Friday, November 22, 2013 due to the aggressive nature of lupus. Tomoko, known to family and friends as Tommie, was born on Sai Pan Island in Japan to Zenkichi and Mathu Toyama (Ueyonabaru). She immigrated to the United States in 1965 and she worked at Vendo Corporation for 13 years. She then worked at Armour Dial for 23 years before she finally retired to spend more time with her family. She dedicated her life to being a wonderful, caring mother and raising her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking to entertain guests and she often loved to enjoy an ice cold Coca-cola. She is survived by her life-long companion, Nicholas E. Zakosek; two daughters, Cheryl Carich of Dayton, OH, Michelle Rios (Tony) of Montgomery, IL; six grandchildren, Nicole Carich, Andre Hemphill, Christopher Carich, Brandon Rios, Hayden Rios, Isabella Rios; and a sister, Teruko Glanc of San Diego, CA. Tommies life will be celebrated at St. Marys Church, 430 E. Downer Place, Aurora, IL on Tuesday, November 26, 2013. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am until the 11:00 am Memorial Service conducted by Father Tim Piasecki. Interment location is soon to be announced.
