Tomorrow, February 3rd, Mom will have been gone for 2 years. This story is so true and really brings to mind the things that Moms do for their children. My Dad was crippled and could not hold a good paying job, so Mom worked to try to help ends meet! She cooked at the St. Helens School for some years and the went to work at the Rose Bargain Store in Beattyville. For the first few years, she would do laundry and hang it out in the cold before going in to work. I have seen the clothes freeze on the line as she hung them it was so cold. When I got old enough to help, I helped with all the chores and took care of the three girls till they got older. This story so reminds me of the days that Mom worked so hard, just so we could eat and have clothes to wear. Kids at school would say that we were those rich Reese kids, but it was not that we were rich in money and things like that, we were rich with the loving care of two parents who broke their backs to feed, clothe and educate six kids. But the best gift that they gave us was unconditional love and the guidance to learn how to work! I love you Mom and I miss you every day..........
