Tomorrow I begin another journey in my nursing career. I have - TopicsExpress

Tomorrow I begin another journey in my nursing career. I have been given a wonderful opportunity to be a part of the Nursing Professional Development team at St Jude Childrens Research Hospital. I am pretty excited! I will actually be utilizing this MSN I have. It is with mixed emotions that after 29 years, I am hanging up my ER/Critical Care shoes. These past 29 years have given me the greatest experiences. I have caught a baby in my own hands that was being born and I have saved a mans life that was in cardiac arrest. He came back to tell me thank-you as he was being discharged from the hospital after having open heart surgery. I have been spit on, vomited on, scratched, had my hair pulled, and called every ugly name you can think of. And I would do it all again! But alas I must pass this on to the younger nurses. The new batch of adrenaline junkies! Two roads diverged in a yellow wood and I Took the one less traveled by and that has made all the difference. -------------------------Robert Frost
