Tomorrow I go in for a full ACL reconstruction on my left knee. They will be using the patella tendon from my right knee to build the ACL for my left. They want the bone to bone healing that comes from taking the bone blocks on both ends of the patella tendon. They told me that using the patella from my good knee will make the recover much faster but the 1st two weeks are going to be tough and a bit painful.
