Tomorrow I start a new year of my middle school percussion club for social justice! On the agenda will be making music with boomwhakers! Here is our masterwork! https://youtube/watch?v=V1bFr2SWP1I And knowing what I know about middle schoolers, this will be a great way to start a conversation on body image, self worth, what society expect us to look like and more and the extra curricular goal of the lesson; We shall not be defined by how we look on the outside but how we act (sound!) on the inside! I guess we should have a musical goal as well: play a pretty song using the colored tubes, in order of appearance and in steady tempo sans phalic innuendo.
