Tomorrow I will be watching the Rose Parade intently and I hope - TopicsExpress

Tomorrow I will be watching the Rose Parade intently and I hope you will too. In memory of our sweet Geoffrey Goodman the Living Legacy Foundation of Maryland dedicated a rose on the 2015 Donate Life Rose Parade Float in Geoffs name. So on January 1st as millions of people watch the Rose Parade throughout the nation, Geoffs legacy will continue to inspire hope, generosity, and compassion through his selfless decision to donate life. I think I have had such an incredibly hard time this week because the letter I received from the Living Legacy Foundation explained exactly how his body was shared.... Geoff was able to help others through the gift of heart valves. Many heart valve recipients are children who, without transplant surgery might never be able to live a normal life..and then... Geoffreys donation of eye tissue is a very valuable gift. These tissues enable sufferers of sight - limiting diseases to have their vision restored. A 69 year old gentleman from the Mid Atlantic area received Geoffs right cornea and a 77 year old man, also from the Mid Atlantic area, received his left cornea. I initially felt that this was way too much info to share here on Facebook but then I realized I have been nothing but open and real with my feelings so why censor myself now?! Plus I feel at peace going into 2015 knowing that my dear sweet husband who was so giving in his everyday life here on earth is able to continue giving well into the new year!! Geoff will forever be remembered and honored as a hero. I love you baby.
