Tomorrow I will mark an anniversary if I live until then. I will be 57 years young. I like to think I have become a little wiser, as Richard Pryor said and I remembered for 40 years now; You dont get old by being no fool. I often challenged fate in my youth and just shake my head now when I think back. I have made many mistakes in my life that affect me to this day. Believe me I can name most of them and when they happened. George Jones sang Ive had choices, and yes I have. My life today is the result of decisions I have made in the past. I am blessed and I am fortunate to have been blessed with wonderful friends and family. I have had experiences that some people have only dreamed of. It is all about the journey. We are the sums of our experiences and people we love, have loved, and friendships we have experienced. I have rambled on here to essentially record my thoughts for a book or two. Definitely I have compiled a memoir of my life. Good things are in the works and I appreciate your tolerance of me as a friend. I have lost some recently, but if we are making everyone happy we are not being true to ourselves. I believe it is important to be true to oneself more so than to change to accommodate what others expect or want from you. To thine own self be true. I live out loud on Facebook, but I am deeper than that I like to think. Humbly I submit to friends, family, and maker; I hope to make it to 57, past 57, and if I dont its been a helluva ride.
