Tomorrow I will take the HH Extreme with Rev D handsets with expedition battery packs to a planned depth of 400 in a flooded mine in Brewster, NY. Rig is prepared with a standard sized AL canister, 8 lb scrubber, GG BM CLs, omniswivel MAVs, 11 cooper hoses all the way around, and later model DIVA. DIL gas: 10/58, bailouts: 9.5/69, 17/55, 32% and 50%, I will have a support diver with OC doubles with 15/49, he will meet me at 250 on my ascent. Mission: To look for path to deeper section of the mine and mark any side tunnels with line if I locate any. Water temps: 46 degrees F, from 10 and deeper. I will use a DUI CLX 350 with the Blue Heat undergarment system, and UTD dry glove cuff rings. Other notes: I have dove this mine four times, once to 310, 160, 168 and 174, so far. New info and historic maps located in a library in Pittsburgh have confirmed my suspicions on why I was not getting any depth readings via sonar deeper than 325 from the surface using a fish finder/depth finder. Now is the time to confirm at depth. GoPro footage will be rolling. Wish us luck!
