Tomorrow MUDRA YOGA WORKSHOP Sunday, January 26, 10:30am-1pm The practice of Mudra Yoga begins with the meaning and significance of the hand: Each finger is determined by an element and possesses this elements qualities and wisdom. Applying the appropriate gesture can heal the organs, tissues, bones, and nerves of the body. The Buddhist deities embody these healing hand mudras. We illuminate their iconography and consider the full body positions of the dieties emulating them in movement, breath, and stillness. The practice of deity yoga supports an apppreciation of the inner beauty of the body and cultivates understanding of our personal mudras as unique physical and emotional expressions. The workshop also includes teaching on the stages of karma mudra, dharma mudra, and sahaja sundari mudra, which culminate in the realization of Mahamudra. No experience necessary.
